• May - CityPark4Brum succeeds in obtaining a deferral after a speech made at the council planning committee, which puts forward a new indicative plan for Smithfield that connects the open space and places a park at the heart of the site.

• April - CityPark4Brum submits new objection to latest Lendlease planning application. This comes after 2022/23 planning application was withdrawn due to objection from Historic England.
